Camaro V6 Exhausts?

Hey, I'm looking to investing some money into improving the sound of my car, not so much the performance. I really want something cheap and easy, and something that i can change back to stock. I don't want anything very loud as to not attract COPS, just make the sound real nice and sexy....any suggestions? I'm 17 years old if that helps...:iono:

If you don't want something loud and aggressive, I'll tell you right now not to get MRT V1.

Yes...

Ver 1.0:

Ver 1.0 is louder, more aggressive... has a more in your face type attitude... a bit more raspy... also there is some resonance at light load at around 2000 RPM... some find it annoying, others do not...

Ver 2.0:

Ver 2.0 is bit quieter, has a more refined, fuller sound... less rasp. The resonance at 2000 RPM has virtually been eliminated. Still can have an aggressive sound when you want it though...

What if I just removed one of the resonators in the stock exhaust...would that sound good?

Not too sure about that on the v6.. Hell I was happy to get rid of those boat anchor mufflers (24lbs apiece!!) just for appearance sake let alone the dramatic change in sound...

Typically the MRT 1.0 is also $70 cheaper. However some of the members here have resold their MRT 2.0 for cheaper than the $499 asking.

Purchase

Can anyone tell me where I can purchase one of these MRT exhaust systems? :iono: Thanks!!

mrray13 03-02-2010 03:39 PM

http://www.mrt-direct.com/

That's the place!!

BaylorCamaro 03-02-2010 07:42 PM

MRT is always a good choice, I don't think anyone could possibly be disappointed with either one..

On a side note, I didn't know what MRT stood for until I got my exhaust. I open up the box and a paper falls out "Mustang Racing Technology" I just read it and

I will say though, they know what they're doing when it comes to badass exhaust!
