It's that time of year again, and I wanted to give everyone a heads-up that we will be bringing our 2012 Camaro SS project to make some hot laps. I'm hoping we can outnumber the Mustang guys this year, and look forward to meeting some of you out there. Whether you are an experienced road racer or a first-timer this a great open track event. Check out the Track Guys website for info and to sign up. Here are some links and pics from year's past as well as what we are bringing (check out the current May '13 issue for baseline testing and the July issue, out 5/21, for the first round of mods).

I'm signed up but I broke a valve spring and tore up my head and one piston a couple weeks ago there at Sebring. I'm hoping to get it back together by then but I'm not optimistic. You guys have a spare LS3 laying around Lol. For anyone else this is a great time. I've been the last two years and was looking forward to going again.

I wish I did, it would be going into my Trailblazer SS. I hope you are able to get your LS3 back together and make it. FYI you could check with some local shops like AntiVenom, sometimes they have good deals on used/salvaged parts.

If I was still in Florida, hell yeah!

Last call for sign up!

It was nice meeting some of you guys out there. I'll get some pics and video up shortly. I've had some technical difficulties, and also short time... I also want to say thanks to Glen and Steve at LSR Performance. They did an awesome job of setting up the car, and the handling is dialed in perfectly now. This story will be out in August.

Looked fun. If I wasn't getting married last weekend woulda been there

Scott@GMHTP 05-30-2013 07:58 AM

Yeah, it's a really fun track and as I said in the blog...a fun, safe environment to learn how to road race and to get some track time. I've gone to several different organizations' driving events, and this is as well-ran as any (if not more so).

Here is a quick video on-track. This was early in the afternoon on Saturday, I dropped another 5 seconds by the end of Saturday. You can hear Glen Vitale of LSR's comments, which is exactly the experience you get from any Track Guys instructor. Glen ran a 2:41 in the car, which was less than a second off from his personal race car. Not bad for a full weight street car on street tires.

Nice meeting you too. Car looked great out there. Next year my 10 will be back together and out there.
