Pros and cons on summit white
 

I am thinking of getting my 2ss rs in summit
white , is it a good color to pick , is it
hard to clean , and how bright is it . I have
seen a few of the new camaros in pretty
much every color so far , so just wanted to
get more info on summit white .:help:

If you get white it needs to have stripes. It looks like a clean slate begging for a splash of color.

I have had white vehicles forever. Bought the SIM camaro (harder to keep clean). By far white is the easiest color to keep clean IMO.

Dust shows the least on white, so it looks "clean" longer after a wash. Dark colors are the worst.

White and stripes looks sweet.

And if you miss a spot when drying it -it doesn't show water spots. I love mine. I get lots of compliments on it. Most people say they didn't think white would look good until they saw mine with the black rallies.

Saw a white one with black stripes the other day,That car looked great. I wasn't sure how it would look until I saw it in person. I must say it is a great color choice.

i have seen a summit white in person with no stripes. it looked good just naked, you need to get the stripes on it. its probably what i am going to order or cgm

This gets me thinking about 2 cars I had in the mid 80's the first was a Grand
National that only came in black,I would spend 4 hours detailing and it was beautiful to look at but it did get dirty pretty fast,second car the Monte Carlo SS in white that car looked really good clean and took longer to look dirty again,I just went to see an RS this morning Summit White with Black stripes and I just might try to get it by this weekend,I was wanting a 2SS,but this will be for my wife.Anyway can't lose with white and those IOM stripes.

When I pick up a second Camaro it's between either white or CGM. White does need stripes.

It is the easiest to keep clean IMO. I have had all colors of Camaros form red to black and White is by far the easiest to keep clean at least looking clean. Black and Dark Blue are the hardest. Now when the colors are clean they pop more than white so you have to have stripes on theis big beast to off set the plain. I have a whit 2ss w/RS, sun roof and black stripes. I also recommend the RS for the body molding color, I have seen the black and I personally do not like it. Ether way you go any color this thing is an eye catcher and you will have a blast in it.

I have always liked white.
Dirt does not show, and looks clean most of the time.
This is my 3rd white car, and this has always been one of my favorite colors...besides the synergy green.

looks really sharp when waxed too.

White cars in fewer accidents than any other color.

Just picked up my white RS 2LT auto.
very nice .But needs a stripe and gill accents to really set it off.
This Car is so very cool up close in person it would not matter what color it is really.

Pros: It's White!

White is a terrible color. Hard to keep clean, you can see lots of crap when it's on it. Anything NOT WHITE will show up. It's hard to get parts in white from GM. Most of the time they don't even have summit white, it's listed at olympic white or arctic white.

agreed! white sucks on all levels. learn from the "small" number of us who have white and buy black;) LOL

My bumper covers and gas tank does not match the summit white on mine, but GM is fixing this. Other than that very happy with white, not alot of them out there YET. looks fine with out stripes, it's an open canvas to do what ever you want with it. Add any color to white and looks great.

i have no complaints. easy to keep clean. stays looking clean the longest. a blank canvas for any color and style of striping packages. everybody stares and rubbernecks when you drive by.

Pros: White does not show swirl marks that will come with a dark color

I plan on ordering a white convertible with a tan top and painted gold stripes and tan interior.

Horrible color choice. Not for everyone. Least popular, ladies hate it...your dog will disown you.

White was my second choice, but it was not available when I ordered my ABM, had it been I probably would have got white, and done full black rally stripes and blacked out the front and rear, OMG it looks amazing!! White even sumimit white is super clean its soo bright that when it gets dirty it just looks white, then you wash it and it's like WOW look how White it really is. I had a 2003 GMC Sierra that was Summit white, I loved it!!

Hi! It was my first white car and I must say it is an awesome color! I get so many great comments not just on the car of course but the color too! People always say they never thought white would look so amazingly awesome especially with the black stripes!
