Do I need a x pipe with headers or not? Connecting to the dual mode exhaust

I been pm'ing a couple of sponsors for header prices and things. My vehicle is a 2013 Camaro LS3 with the dual mode exhaust. Some are saying I will need an x-pipe to connect the headers + cats. Others are saying I can just use the headers + cats with no problem. I ask my fellow Camaro5 people... which one do I need?

don't think you NEED one or the other. you can do straight pipe (LOUDER) or x-pipe for a little quieter sound, and less rasp.

So you are just trying to install headers and connect to your existing cat back, correct? All you need is a set of factory connect headers with high flow cats. Beyond that, they are just trying to sell more parts. Feel free to hit me up if you have any other questions.

You do not NEED an X pipe. You could connect just about any header setup to your factory catback and have no issues.

Many people will recommend an X pipe because they help with flow and scavenging and are superior to the factory H pipe. However it is not completely necessary.

Please feel free to call, PM or email me with questions.
