American Racing Headers

I have an L99, do you guys think I'll be able to see a significant difference in both the sound of the car as well as HP?

You will definetly hear and feel a difference. I have installed 3 sets of these on automatic cars...and each driver was happy the second they pulled out of the garage!!

The idle is only a slight sound increase, but wide open it is much louder!

Is that the full headers + catback? I'm looking for just headers that end at the collector at 2.5" that hook up to the stock catback. Or do they only come in 3"?

The reason I ask is because I'm having electronic cutouts installed that connect to the stock system at 2.5".

Any thoughts? Thanks

Do these headers end at 2.5" or 3"?

The system is all 3 inches til the very end where it reduces to 2.5 inches ID where it mates up with the factory exhaust. Hope that clears things up.

When you say mates with the factory exhaust, you mean at the beginning of the S-pipe, correct? The reason I ask is because I would like to use the headers in combination with the NoWeeds exhaust diverters which replace the S-pipe with the factory 2.5" inlet.

Thanks in advance

the x-pipe that comes with the arh headers is 3" all the way back to the axle, it then necks down to 2.5" to hook to the factory axle back muffers,,, when you install the kit you cut the factory pipes back by the axle and remove everything from there forward

Okay, so what I want to do isn't possible then...headers ending at the collector at 2.5"....oh well :(

not with the arh headers,,, but the doug thorley tri-y long tubes come with a short s-pipe, 2.5" diameter to connect to the factory h-pipe system

you could get your cutouts in 3" and put them in our system, just a thought

We have installed over 20 sets of these. They are definately the best headers on the market today. Give me a call if you need a set, I have them in stock and ready to ship!

Just my opinion...but you should get the headers installed before committing to the cutouts. With ARH(with cats/xpipe) and factory cans my car is LOUD when I get on the gas. I was considering cutouts but decided to wait...now I feel no need to even consider them.

I LOVE the AR headers...and apparently most other do too...I've gotten more 'stop light' compliments on the sound of the car than anything else.

Wow - $1795.00 x 20 = $35,900 + 200 intakes x $299.00 = $59,800

$95,700 = :headbang:
