Lets estimate ZL-1 numbers
Ok like many of you... I need something to cure boredom of waiting for ZL-1 even though my wait is only a week old as just deciding to not turn my SS into a half race car monster.
So what do you guys think will be the following numbers? My estimates are: Price - $48499 base, $51500 optioned out 0-60 - 3.9s 1/4 mile - 12.0s @120 max lateral G - .95 HP - 570 TQ - 530 Weight - 3950 lbs Now lets not get carried away with exaggerations lol  |
ZL1 Automatic
Price - $N/A base, $N/A optioned out 0-60 - N/A 1/4 mile - N/A max lateral G - N/A HP - N/A TQ - N/A Had to rub a lil more salt in the wound haha |
:mad0259::paddle::mad0260::mad0259: but at the same time ...:sm0::laugh::bellyroll::sm0:

We don't know all the options yet (i think)..I based it off of similar spread of the 2ss...base 2ss starts at what...34?...optioned out comes to i think 44 or something...quite a spread i know. but seeing that this car has significantly more expensive parts, I'd assume that optioned out would be higher than just 4k plus base.
|
well theres no word on larger rims yet for the ZL1... and obviously no gfx kit as it already comes with side skirts and a front splitter .... thats ~$7000 of the 2010 SS possible options gone right there
|
I have a 2ss/rs and it was stickered at 37, stripes were included in price but i didn't want em and only other options i could get was the diff rims and gm's body kit.
But i do feel this car will be stickered high around the 55 mark assuming the base is 48k. |
Price: $49,950- Optioned out $53,500
Weight: 4050- 4100 Pounds 0-60: 3.8-4.0 seconds 1/4 Mile: 11.9-12.2 @ 117-119 MPH Max Lateral G: .99 - 1.01 G's HP: 565 TQ: 555 What I WISH For.... Price: Same as above Weight: 3800-3900 Pounds 0-60: 3.7 - 3.9 Seconds 1/4 Mile: 11.7- 11.9 @ 119-122 MPH Max Lateral G's: 1.00- 1.06 G's HP: 575-580 TQ: 560-570 |
looks like a catch here lol...we don't know if rims or other gfx packages are available, but we can't assume that they are, so then how would we assume the price then?
|
I would bet there are no gfx packages for the zl1 since it pretty much already has one. Also the rims are light weight and only put on this car so any other rim gm offers would be kinda back stepping performance.

i mean a sunroof would also add extra weight, but that doesnt change traction due to tires.... still think they will have one |
My best estimation would have to come from our present living example, being caddy's cts-v coupe. So far it dusted the gt500 (Thus no surprise that ford isn't waiting around for the zl1) and bmw m5 (They went off to turbo charging land after caddy's dispensed beating!), and it did this with the following (based on Edmunds):
4250 lbs. 4.2 0-60 12.2 1/4 mile .90 g skidpad 104ft 60-0 stop time. Having a fair idea of how chevy will handle the body and badge switch I'd wager that the zl1 would come in with 4000 lbs (It needs to be 3900 realistically) 4.1 0-60 12.2 1/4 mile .93 g skid pad 104 ft. 60-0 stop time Edit: Price...$49,899 base; 53-55k out the door....I hope The zl1 can certainly improve on caddy's great numbers with some weight savings and really grippy tires. |
I can see half of you didn't read the facts about the ZL1. It states that the ZL1 will have a minimum of 550 HP and TQ. I have seen a couple of you put well below 550 TQ, but that's besides the point.
Price: Base - $49k est. / Loaded - $56k est. Weight: 3925-4100 lbs (need to know more facts about the car for an accurate guess) 0-60 mph: 3.8 - 4.0 sec est. 0-100 mph: 8.5 - 9.0 sec est. 1/4 mile: 11.8 - 12.0 sec @ 120 mph est. 60-0 mph: 103 ft est. Max Lateral G: .95 g - .98 g est. HP: 575 - 580 est. TQ: 570 - 575 est. |
