Awesome! This is good timing for me. Just have to make sure I can get my car out from where I've been storing it. It's probably going to be a little dirty though.

Are we just going to meet at the track?

andredmg 11-17-2011 01:57 PM

Gonna try my best to make this since my boy and I had such a great time last outing. My Camaro is buried behind the other projects but I'll try and bring something, plus my boy is in driving school and now has his permit so Id like Jim to take him out on the track again this time with him behind the wheel he he he:D:D:D

I should be there, I'm on standby with work though, hopefully it will be quiet

Awesome pics.

Great time this morning, so worth calling in. :D

Riding passenger with Diana was awesome! Thank you.

Taking mine out on track was cool too, but not as cool.

I had a great time too!!!:happyanim: It's just what I needed after the past two months of packing, moving, moving again, and unpacking.:mad0259: Lawrence, your car looks great! Howard that convertible is awesome, and I think it handled really great on the track! And Curt, thanks for the ride in the 69, I'm really impressed by the way it handled!

I also enjoyed meeting all the people I hadn't met before. And another big thanks to Jim for all his great instruction. Can't wait to get out there again.:D

I had a great time during this Track Day!!

My 1969 Camaro performed very well. It handles the track much, much better than my 2010 Camaro (remember, the 2010 is stock). But, still not as good as Diana's beast :). That's like a BMW.

The only issues that I need to address deals with the gas tank and brakes. As I hit some of the tight turns, the gas sloshes to one side or the other. The pick up starts sucking air and as a result, the motor starves.

The other issue deals with the brakes. We've determined we have a mismatch with the booster/master cylinder (as we have extra vaccum). I'll have to go investigate what is needed with these Baer brakes. Right now, I really have to push hard to get some braking power.

As expected, more debugging.

In any case, it was great meeting some new people, test driving Howard's awesome convertible. I was quite in impressed as to how well it handled for being a convertible. Very nice.:w00t:

Jim Guthrie was on hand giving pointers and rides. I even dared to take on the track with Jim Guthrie on it at the same time with his GT!:help:

Everyone had a great time!

Here's some more pics.
