Another interesting find...Yep...the Current V6 VR certainly work work on this! Heck, with that new MAF sensor, depending on how its mounting location is shaped, it may not work for any of the current aftermarket CAI's.

engine cover sux, but that plastic manifold is hideous. I like my '10 aluminum, thank you very much.:D
..should've gotten rid of the trash cans to save weight & aesthetics:facepalm:

My 2011 V6 didn't come with a front strut bar. Was I supposed to get one? Or is it a 2012 thing? I didn't see it listed in the new features of the 2012 V6.

Wow, the LLT sure was short-lived. And IT was the motor everyone was raving about back in '09....

BowtieBelle 08-24-2011 01:32 PM

Just makes our '10s and '11s that much more rare :)

So does the 2012 Manual come with the AY6?

Short lived in the Camaro. Was still in some of the Caddy's before the Camaro!

Its kinda funny now i think about it. Why would chevy put a dated motor in this car if they knew in two short years it would be replaced?.

camaroitalia 08-24-2011 02:12 PM

i want to drive one of these and see if i can really feel that 11hp difference and 20ibs less lol
and can someone explain why some of the current intakes may not work on this?

oswego16 08-24-2011 02:17 PM

Took delivery of my '12 Black, Black, Inferno 2LT RS LFX Vert Monday.

Loving it. Engine seems powerful. Still breaking it in. Had it up to 85 this afternoon.

Definitely, wimpy on the exhaust notes. But, that's what my sons can get me for Christmas. Was thinking of the Vram intake, now need to see how they make it work.

After driving a SS, the LFX still doesn't want to launch itself like the LS3, 99, BUT, it is far smoother than the LLT it replaced.

I will keep updating. Only at 150 miles right now.
