Now add the duration :)

ugh... seriously???
|
I wonder if they are doing this to try an get some people to pony up the extra money as been thought b4 on here for the SS....but in doing that you may also lose potential buyers of the V6 who have pre-ordered all the way back on Oct13, makes no sense. I think well start seeing them being built soon enough though......I Hope
|
I aint got no ponies to pony up with so they won't be getting me to buy the SS cuz of this "constraint" on V6.
I'm fine but come June 1st and no Camaro, then I'll start posts like other V6 pre-owners have been typing up the last month. I'm betting I won't have to, I'm patient. |
GM has said all along the V6 will be the bread and butter of the Camaro. Figuring half the pre-orders are V6, say 6,000 and there is a $7,000 difference between a 2LT and 2SS, that is only $42 million. Lots to us, but not in the overall picture for GM. And remember, that is gross, not additional profit. I'm not happy about the contraint, nor do I understand it, but I don't think they are doing it for the money.
|
I just wish my dealer got the release allocation for my car.
|
GM really screwed up on the V6 dealer thing, they should have started building those after the preorders. Whomever made that decision should be fired.
|
As I think Scotty was implying, Pink, it's just for one week, seven short days.
It might be lifted next week; I'd guess the week after next. |
Sux for v6 owners :(
|
We know the bulk of orders are for V8's, so would it REALLY be so bad for GM to show they care about their customers, work around the constraint, and produce the sold order V6's? Would it really cause so many problems?

i just want them to get me my camaro
|
I called my dealer today and will go in and make my final decision tomorrow. I thought if I went ahead and went from a 2LT RS to a 1SS I would jump up a little but he didn't think so. I will just have to wait like the rest of the V6 people and HOPE for the best. It made not be build the first month or two but as long as I get it by summer I will be happy. I'm not waiting until Oct and you can mark me down on that one.

Cyber Grey :(

NOTE TO GM.....
:paddle: Please stop building grey Impalas and make my CGM Camaro!!!! :paddle: :cry::cry::upset::upset::upset: :bangdesk::bangdesk: I don't know how many more weeks I can read the allocation report without going nuts! My dealer keeps calling me and trying to get me to change the color....... :help::help: :mad0259: |

^^^That's one way to make everything be alright. Ken Dixon got 2 this concensus too, so mine will also be going in pretty soon. I think you'll thoroughly enjoy the extra V8 ponies. Congrats!
|
I am thinking since they said that v6's would be under constraint for a month because of the 1 per dealer thing. If thats so next week when they release constraints it will be a month from march 16th that those orders will be built so lets hope next thursday we will find out there is no longer a v6 constraint. If not i am going to be very angry.

No, Sean, the production goes in order, week after week. Dealers are allowed to submit orders each Thursday - Saturday for production in a future week. The timetable is: Submit-------------Build Mar/12-14............Apr/6-10 Mar/19-21............Apr/13-17 Mar/26-28............Apr/20-24 Apr/ 2-5...............Apr/27-5/1 Did your dealer get any cars this last concensus on March 6th? If so, they can be submitted, as allowed by GM, from March 12th to April 5th for production in April. Your car being submitted by the dealer also depends on your priority number, #1 thru #5,10,20. |

Wow, now I'm really confused. This is not how I though it all worked. When they said March builds and Aprils builds, I asumed that they would be built in those months, not just submitted. So technically, no customer cars will actually be built in March? So here's my settup.. I am #3. 1 & 2 were picked for March build/submission. Is there a chance both 1&2 would be taken for submission in the March 12-14 period (I'll call my dealer for this info). If so, mine could be submitted in the March 19-21 period? Sean W |

My only reall worry is, does the dealer have to actually enter his weekly submissions by hand, or does the system automaticly take the orders in the priority the dealer has them in? Only my dealer can answer the rest I quess. |
I swear the more i read about consensus and allocations and such. the more confused i get.
