Replace the restrictive factory intake with an aftermarket one (I suggest K&N or SLP) and a new intake manifold, get full header back exhaust (SLP, Magnaflow, Edelbrock). Those should really open it up. Throw some lower gears and fatter tires on the rear end to get it moving off the line. There's some basics for you.

All depends on how much you have to spend....simple as that.
There's the easy stuff mentioned above that will cost some cash. But, to really get it moving, you'll need an engine mod. |
yea the most you have with that 91 RS is a 305, unless there was an engine mod befor you got it or the owner says its a 350.
then if thats the case drop a 350 or a 355 or a 383. |
You want to make it fast. How much money do you have?
• Cheap • Fast • Reliable • Pick 2 |
How fast is fast to you?

What do y'all mean engine by engine mods. And I got a v8 5.0 I don't know if it's the 350 but by pops told me it was.

The 5.7L V8 is the 350 & those only came in either the irocz (87-90) or the Z28s 91-92 |

:respekt: I've been rereading your posts, and I think we need to pace ourselves here. I, at one point, knew nothing about cars, and I still have a lot to learn.
Since you're not certain of your motor or what to do to improve it, I would take your time and learn. If you want some instant gratification, get $1,200 together for bolt-ons. You don't want to spend a lot of money on incompatible parts and warranty-violating performance parts. If you can afford an engine replacement on top of the mods you want, that's your decision. I just don't want to see a potential car enthusiast be deterred from a great passion because he blew up his car as a consequence of insufficient car knowledge. |
