Line Lock on M6

Anyone using a line lock on M6 SS? Which brand, how do you like it, and what features does it have? ie - Power up and enablement switches. Do you have pics of where you put switches?

Yes. SJM linelock. Great product. Main power is below steering wheel, the rest is in the cruise control.

Wow. That's a good way of doing it instead of having a secondary switch.
Any specific reason why you chose SJM and not another brand?

The right way to warm up tires at the drag strip.

Nice, way to do it. Why have a bunch of holes drilled everywhere if you can use existing switches.

Ill be installing my SJM kit here soon... any wiring diagrams while using the cruise switch??

calbert1999 03-10-2012 03:19 PM

SJM has two styles. Any difference between the SJM or Hurst style solenoid? Or just the bracket hardware? Which bracket did you guys go with?

UF4LIFE102SS 03-10-2012 03:28 PM

Not the Hurst.

Any specific reason or just preference? I was aware of the Hurst, and no other brands, that's why I asked the question.
BTW - Thanks, for feedback appreciate it.

sjm is steve, he sells his brand and also the hurst...i see no reason to pay more $$$ for the brand name as he stands behind his stuff and you can speak with him in person...also as others have stated..extreme performance has installed ours into the cruise control...turn cruise on-hit brake pedal and hold down real hard -push in cruise control button on left side steering wheel and hold in while releasing brake pedal- your front brakes are now applied....give gas release clutch spin tires, release cruise control to release front brakes...using the line lock will usually throw a code for the traction control , but will reset on its own...rear tires spinning and front are locked up confuses the computer, just like a dyno does...don,t sweat it..also remember that more pressure pushed on brake pedal relates to how much pressure is holding front wheels ...if you only push moderately hard , your car will try to roll as giving gas...any questions , you can pm tyer@extreme performance, he is a vendor here,, we changed a diode or something here as 1 was discontinued or something...but easily done...forgot to mention , but i heard steve{sjm} actually does the engineering for bogarts and is responsible for the machining that is required for the 17inch bogarts to fit our camaro,s...i also picked up all the parts for UF4LIFE102SS and 2 other camaro,s from radio shack for the cruise control personally for under 10.00
