Hurst Auto Shifter

Need to know if I can install the new Hurst auto pistol grip shifter in my OEM console without buying the Hurst aluminum shifter plate? Anyone?

Yes, and to elaborate...

They are two separate things that function on their own, or together. The Hurst Plate re-uses the black sliding piece from the stock plate, so the hole for the shifters (stock VS Hurst) are the same size. I have the plate and the shifter, and love them both.

thanks for the info:thumbsup: ; like the shifter handle but the plate is just too much; but it does look good! I'm having my OEM plate covered w/carbon fiber along with the interior trim.

That looks pretty good without the plate.

Two questions:

Does the Hurst plate have any additional gates? (I like to rest my hand on the shifter and sometimes bump it into neutral accidentally.)

And: Has anyone installed paddle shifter extenders, and how do they like them?

EDIT: Just found the thread on the extenders, I didn't realize they were just now being produced.

The plate is eye candy, it does not change anything about the function of the shifter.

Then it's the handle only for me. Maybe Santa will bring me one this Christmas.

They are scarce. I've been looking for months.

you mean like this one. And yes I have the Vitesse paddle shifters and you them all the time cause I only run in sport mode.
And they work great shifting on a road course.
