How much should I pay for a 69 Camaro?

I am looking at a 1969 Camaro rs/ss clone project to build like my 2010. It has all new body, a new 454 crate engine, new exhaust, new fuel and brake system, new suspension, new Holley carb, and a rebuilt 4 speed original transmission, new 4 core radiator, and nee clutch assembly. It comes with the seats and just needs the rest of the interior and then paint/ miscellaneous. He is firm on $14,000, is this reasonable? Let me know what you think. Thank you

That's a great price if it's a clean car without matching numbers. Sounds similar to what a friend just got at Barret Jackson, only he paid like $18K and it was a convertible.

I bought one recently for 20K but it just depends on who you're buying it from- they could screw you over :frusty:
I think around 19K is reasonable

Its reasonable if the body is put together nicely. Make sure there is no rust, and all body seams line up OK. If you have to redo the body, the deal is not so great.

What do you mean it has an all new body? Is it a Year One car or an actual '69 Camaro that has had the body work completed? There is a huge difference. If it is a Year One type car, there is no collectibility and it is only worth what you are willing to spend on it. Chances are you won't recoup your investment if it isn't an actual '69 body.

Mine appraised at 18k and I got it for 13k. '69 RS small block 4spd car with working AC. Interior is excellent but has some cosmetic issues (surface rust)
