Paint help on engine cover URGENT
 

Okay, so I used a clear adhesion promoter, forgot if I coated the whole engine cover :der:. I taped off the black areas, painted 4-6 coats of CRT. Removed the tape, it left a lot of sticky behind, used alcohol, paint thinner, then washed it.

Question 1, still might be a little tacky, anything else I can try? Or will the adhesion promoter seal it?

Question 2, is it okay to re coat, including the fresh CRT paint, with the adhesion promoter before I clearcoat? And do I assume correctly that I need a 1000 grit sand between clears?
