Love the Jake car. Nice Z-28 catch on the sign.

SSmoked 11-11-2010 10:53 AM

the wheels look like the cts-v rims with a deeper offset. the brakes are the same as the pre-po z28s were seeing which have the cts-v 6pot front brembos. on the ssx there painted black instead of silver.
i hope they carry over the magnetic shocks too.

Love the wheels. At 20x10 front and 20x11 rear, I wouldn't change a thing. Perfect size and with a bad ass look too. Sure, I'd sport them and be happy about it.

DarkneSS 11-11-2010 12:47 PM

I'll definitely sell my RS wheels and throw down the extra cash to get these.

Vega 11-11-2010 01:19 PM

More healthy speculation -_-' haha

OldJedi 11-11-2010 01:33 PM

Did anybody that saw the SSX Camaro in person see what size tires it was running on the 10" and 11" rims?

KnightRider 11-11-2010 01:36 PM

Love them!!! Any info on the tire size? 275 F & 315 R perhaps? Just guessing...

Future Z28 owners, wanna sell me your stock wheels? :D

radz28 11-11-2010 01:38 PM

Good LORD those would be sweet on Z28!!! Those rocker panels, too :D PLEASE - USE THOSE PS2s!!!

YUMMY!!!@#$%^&*

Great catch!

RLHMARINES 11-11-2010 02:26 PM

The front tires are 285/30 R20 on 20 x 10 wheels and the rear tires are 295/35 R20 on 20 x 11 wheels.

GEEo 11-11-2010 02:34 PM

I like the prototype ones better. but thats just me.

It's was a concept I had about keeping the current taillight design for RS only and this photoshop design for the non-RS model, like the '67-'68 models used to. I certainly don't think it looks better, just another distinction other than slightly tinted taillights and red SS badging on the rear view of the RS.

We picked it over pretty good. Its running 285/30 R20 on the front and 295/35 R20 on the rear.

KnightRider 11-11-2010 03:08 PM

285/30/20 F
295/35/20 R

That's a strange setup because the rear tires are 1.4" taller than the front in diameter.

I guess this is for the "raked" look? I'm assuming this wouldn't be a good idea on a normal SS because the ABS or Traction Control would FLIP because of the different sizes?

Not sure..just my 2 cents..correct me if i'm wrong

But these wheels look SICK

brantley847 11-11-2010 04:07 PM

Hey Paul...How about a CAI from GMPP first...

2010_5thgen 11-11-2010 04:16 PM

those are some good looking wheels. great find. i hope some aftermarket company makes them in a 19".......any takers?

the guy in the video said these parts will be available months after sema. yet i saw a video with fitzpatrick and he said its all concept and none of it will make it to production.

Z28RockStar 11-11-2010 04:19 PM

I like the sema wheels and like the tuning fork wheels, . . . . the test Z28 wheels SUCK, . . . just mho.

2010_5thgen 11-11-2010 04:22 PM

dont know if you read the first page...but these are said to be the z28 wheels.......

maybe chevy will offer more than 1 style wheel for the z28. it would be nice. kindal ike the z06. z06 has 2 or 3 options for wheels.

MG 11-11-2010 04:57 PM

its not the size of the tire that matters, its the tire and the compund. i plan on running 295 all the way around on my car for my track setup. not to mention you wont really notice 10mm in the rear anyways if it were a 305. plus you want the tires to be as close to the same size all the way around for track use and you want the tire to stretch on that wheel.
