2010 camaro l99 ss best mods

I have a 2010 ss l99,i ahve kooks 1 7/8 headers with high flow cats, ported throtle body and a k&N Fai. what is the next mod to do before a good tune under 2000 grand.

catback or gears

bcamaro1 05-09-2013 08:59 PM

+1 for gears even though they don't have much hp gains they will dramatically increase your acceleration. it will be a whole new beast.

Id say tq converter and drag radials! Far more gain than gears. Let me know if you have any converter and/or gear questions, I have both in my car.

I'd say ditch the K&N get you a vararam, haltech or rotofab.

Then TQ converter, DR's and a tune from Rhino79, if you wanna take advantage of all of those mods. Just my .2

What they said...Also, just an idea since you're getting tuned anyway I assume that you have $2000 plus tune money set aside...Maybe get a cam kit upgrade for $2500 if you can find that deal?

Unless you want a vvt cam i'd say stall, tune ,TRANNY TUNE , bushings, trailing arms, rear sway, and bolt on some 18" vette wheel DR's.

You will feel like your in a whole new animal.

You would be amazed at what just a tune and tranny tune will do for you.

upgrade bushings.. or suspension in general.

then.. torque converter and drag radials for sure

Juiced1 05-10-2013 08:29 AM

A torque converter has always been the best single mod for an automatic car. When paired up with a set of headers and some sticky tires the gains are simply amazing! You'll be able to slash your 60 foot times which is everything in the game of racing!

A good torque converter, tune and some drag radials would be my recommendation as well.

drag radials for sure got me from 12.6 with the mods in sig to 12.3's had to pedal it otherwise.
