New Gen 5 Tube Frame Road Race Camaro Build
Another 2012 tube frame Camaro is under construction at Bemco Fab in Deland Fl by Woody Wood. This one is a Howe/Bemco Road Race chassis made of 1 3/4" x .095 DOM to be fitted with the Howe Camaro Trans Am 2 bodywork. Power will be a small block chevy that is designed to use aftermarket LS3 heads. Reportedly makes 700 HP at the flywheel. Tranny will be a Nascar type road race Jerico with a Winters QuickChange rear end. Penske shocks with a 3 link with watts link rear suspension. Brembo Nascar cup brakes in front and Wilwoods in the rear. Will weigh about 2500# without driver. Should be ready in a few weeks and will compete in the NorthEast at NJMP, Pocono, Watkins Glen and others.
Here are few pics I took off the chassis http://i641.photobucket.com/albums/u...Chassis003.jpg |

The car will be similar to the one built for Ralph Tommasso

This is a pic of a similar build with the Howe composite body being fitted to an earlier Bemco chassis. This one was converted from a GTA type Monte Carlo to Camaro.
