2011 Synergy Green ordering starts 7/1, Hurst Short Throw Shifter production in Aug.

As reported on CAMARO5 HOMEPAGE.

Here is some official news regarding the ordering of Synergy Green on all 2011 Camaro models.

Effective July 1, 2010, Synergy Green Metallic (RPO: GHS) exterior color will be available for ordering on all 2011 Camaro models through Order Workbench. This exciting, very bright green will be available with RS and non-RS exterior packages; and with Ebony (black) and Gray leather and cloth interiors (note: it is not available with Beige or Inferno Orange interior or Inferno Orange Rally Stripes).

Due to lead time, production of this color will commence in Oshawa the week of August 9, 2010; and at this point, we do not expect any ordering constraints. Production of this color will end in December of this year (final date to submit orders will be communicated in the near future).

There is an additional charge of $350 for this exterior color. Although we do not plan to offer the green stitching from the 2010 Camaro Synergy Special Edition, we do plan to offer the Synergy Interior Trim Inserts as a factory installed option from the special edition model on 2LT and 2SS models only in the near future (exact order acceptance date for this option will also be communicated in the near future).

And news regarding the Hurst Short Throw Shifter factory option:

The Hurst Short Throw Shifter (RPO: KAE) is scheduled to start production in late August. The current constraint should gradually be lifted starting in late July.

i want to buy the green interior trim inserts for my car, cant wait until they become available.

Sucks that I couldn't get the shifter installed from the factory on my 2010. That would've looked badass on the sticker to have displayed at shows.

Who would even order the green exterior with Inferno interior!

LAWMAN 06-28-2010 02:53 PM

I wonder if the hurst shifter going in the 2011's will have the factory style shift knob or the white or black knob,...i prefer to keep the factory knob and plan to order the hurst shifter to put in my 2010 when available,...anyone know?

And thus the death of the exclusivity associated with the very limited Synergy Green Special Edition. You will be missed.

The same person that would order the orange stripes too. Maybe a Godaddy.com fan? :sm0:

I really hope (although pretty certain they won't) they change their minds about the green stitching. I think it really makes that subtle difference that makes that green camaro stand out.

I've actually been considering removing my stripes on my Synergy and replacing them with white hockey stripes. More likely going with flat black though.

I bought the Hurst shifter from Summit Racing and installed it myself, it's not hard and it's probably much cheaper than GM will probably offer it for, it come's with the white shifter knob and another stick the factory knob fits on if you like the looks of your factory knob better. Either way it shift's great!
