Don't recommend polishing in the sun.
Even tho, poor boys brands states their stuff works even in the sun. |

It's possible, but it is a pain in the butt. Or a "paint" in the butt ja ja ja. Stupidly corny, I know :D |

You have to use more product. You have to use more pads. You have to be mindful of the panel temps and pad condition. Oh and you want to be mindful of wind and dust too. As I said, it's a pain. |

And bugs. Damn bugs like to get on the paint just as you're ready pass over the panel with your PC.

To get us back on topic....
With my convertible I use my car dryer (AKA leaf blower) to blow dust off the top and paint before I even rinse. It works pretty well to get dust/pollen off the top and minimize having to get it wet. After I'm all done I use a lint roller on the canvas. Your thoughts on this approach? |
I am glad to read this BUT scared at the same time that I am going to miss something and cause paint issues later! LOL. Once I do this process, I am sure I will get it. I dont use car washes. My car is 3 months old. I let the rain wash it. its garaged. I notice spots on my vinyl stripes, I will buy "turtle ice' or UV protectant for the stripes. I have 2 dents that I am getting removed (dang dings from cars parked too close) then, a touch up on a few paint scratches, then, I can focus on my waxing!
