line lock function

i am looking into line locks and want to do some custom work with them. if you push the line lock button then push the brakes, is the petal just rock solid and does nothing, or does it feel fine and just rear brakes work?

you first turn on the line lock, then push brakes real hard and hold them down while holding in line lock button...release brake pedal while continuing to hold in line lock...as long as you hold button , the front brakes will be held..rear wheels are free to spin...release button and all brakes are off... a lot of people don,t push the brake hard and it can roll when giving gas,, your line lock will hold the amount of pressure you applied when pushing down brake pedal....if you only push lightly while holding in button, the brakes will only hold the front brakes lightly...that is why you must push brake pedal hard then hold in lock , to hold the hard pressure to brake, hope that helps.

I had a switch that you turned on and stayed until you flipped the switch.

you don't need to hold the button down. Usually there is one button that arms the system and then a second switch that activates the line lock.
