Some Color Help

Hey Guys, I currently drive a 2000 V6 Mustang (please don't kill me), but I have had my eye on the new Camaro ever since I first saw the concept. I've finally gotten my sh*t together and decided to order the car, because I can't stand to wait any longer, but I'm having some trouble picking between a few colors.

My Mustang is Laser Red, and I absolutly love the color. I like the "deeper" reds much more than the brighter reds such as "Performance Red" that the Mustang's were also offered in that year.

Here is my dilema, and where I was looking for some help. I'm terrible at visualizing things, and it doesn't help that I can't find many great / clear pictures. I would have to believe that Red Jewl Coat is the closest to the color that I currently have, but the only picture I've been able to dig up of it (the one in someone's driveway at dusk) looks very maroonish, and I don't know how I feel about that.

After seeing some pictures of IOM that look very redish, I'm wondering if most of the "bright red" pictures I've seen are actually IOM and not Victory Red? Can anyone post 2 real life pics and say for sure which one is IOM and which one is Victory Red?

For the most part these colors look different in person than in digital pictures. They have flops in them that should be seen in person. Although you can't see them on the Camaro they can be seen on other cars.

For instance the Pontiac Solstice in Brazen is the same as IOM.
Several vehicles are available in Red Jewel including, Cobalt (called sport red tintcoat), Malibu, Impala, Trailblazer.
The Victory red is also available on the Aveo, Cobalt, HHR, Impala, Corvette.

I would recommend a some field research. You really got to see the colors on some vehicles. And yes they will look somewhat different on the Camaro because of the body lines, etc. But you will have a much better idea than looking at some digital pics.

I agree that darker reds are much better looking than the bright ones. And the Mustang has one of the best dark reds I've ever seen.

I don't see either of the reds on the Camaro as the right shade of red. As you said, the RJT isn't a nice dark cherry color, it's more burgundy.

yea man just head on up to a chevy dealer and they should have a couple RJT's on the lot on some other models

That was kind of my suspicison, just needed a seond opinion on it.

Thanks for the advice guys! I'm going to try to head to one of the chevy dealers around here this week to check the colors out in in person. I knew most of them were already used on a few cars, but I had no idea the RJT was on so many
