I have it in hand, Install on Monday for Camaro Now Fall Article with other upgrades, wont be able to say too much until article comes out.

lscamaro 05-04-2013 02:19 AM

I thought IPF could build aftermarket clutches already? I know hbmike and sixjak already run aftermarket stronger clutches

Lil' Nasty 05-04-2013 07:08 AM

Looks nice bud!

sycraft 05-04-2013 07:19 AM

I can tell you it will hold more power that I will ever need, 9.5 inch twin disk with a billet flywheel, and it has something the OE and other clutches do not have...... providing a higher level of reliabilty with the design addition, more of that in the article....

Two more days!... We'll be installing this in sycraft's car. Look for the magazine article later this year, but we'll be documenting some pictures for you guys on the forums here.

Lil' Nasty 05-04-2013 10:45 AM

Press Release

VEESIKS 05-10-2013 06:44 PM

Did you get the weight difference?

Matt @ FSP 05-10-2013 07:22 PM

I believe Rodney, Clint or Justin has that information, it was significant for rotating mass.. I was not paying good attention when they weighed them!

sycraft 05-10-2013 07:38 PM

It was considerable, but should not scoop the article

RenegadeSS 05-10-2013 08:00 PM

Im buying this as soon as its available. I could care less about the weight.

sycraft 05-10-2013 08:57 PM

Its available, call ram and tell them Clint sent you, ask for mike norcia

RenegadeSS 05-10-2013 09:16 PM

Will do :thumb:

Bump.

Vader2011v6 06-18-2013 08:16 PM

How did this clutch hold up to your at sycraft? I maybe I the need for a new clutch soon.when I heat up my clutch at the track my car wouldn't go into 3rd and straight to 5th. I'm getting my ideal garage master cylinder and taking out my short shifter hopefully after that my car will be better if not then the clutch maybe the next thing to change.

sycraft 06-18-2013 08:27 PM

Clutch is holding up great, got better with some time on it, highly recommended. My trans is having issues with all the launces, I am getting a new one soon....Iit also overheated on the track, well over 300 degrees, probably not too good for it at that time. Still works ok for now.

cireisa 06-20-2013 08:02 AM

Hello guys,
I'm waiting for GM approval to change my gear box at 69k,it grinds when I downshift from third gear and sometimes when I shift from first to second. It seems that the synchronizer is gone already.I will change the clutch as well , not decided which one to pick :Ram9.5 or Spec stage 2 or 2+??? I go to the track 6-7 times/year and I drive aggressively, but this car is my everyday drive and I don't want a stiff clutch or a hard pedal feel.Bottom line I need a little bit more torque hold with the same pedal feel , the OEM one was slipping from day one on hard launches.
Any thoughts ??

Vader2011v6 06-22-2013 11:49 AM

U know I also had issues at the track. My at won't go into third when I launch my car at the track after doing a quick burn out.when I race it without launching it goes in fine. I'm having my ahort shifter removed as well as an ideal garage master cylinder installed. Hope it does the trick.it doesn't seem like my clutch is slipping yet but it's been a pain to get a good time at the track. Next on the list is a new clutch as well

Did you change the transmission fluid? If so what kind are you using?

sycraft 06-22-2013 11:54 AM

Syncromesh gm fluid

Thanks. I'm still deciding on what to go with.

cireisa 07-03-2013 02:38 PM

Hello guys ,
I am having a BIG PROBLEM with this Ram clutch
As I said in a previous post I installed today a NEW transmission with NEW sleeve and bearing and the 9.5 dual disc from RAM.
Please check the videos below and tell me what's your opinion:

sycraft 07-03-2013 03:11 PM

Hope they installed the discs properly, and made sure the slave was bled and spaced properly for the clutch. Mine has no issues other than normal twin disc chatter under load at low rpms.

Good luck, i would hope the dealer that installed it will help you out and check their work...
