The first 6 Speed VORTECH Supercharged SS ("JBA Super Sport") hits the streets in preparation for SEMA.

The first SS Camaro to receive the Vortech 2010 Camaro SS Supercharging System featuring the V-3 Si-Trim centrifugal supercharger has hit the streets in Southern California. JBA Performance Headers and Exhaust, now part of the Pertronix family of performance products, has been working with long time industry partners Vortech Engineering to develop the first six speed supercharged SS which will debut at SEMA this November.

The “JBA Super Sport”, as the project is being called, has an impressive list of additions to the core V-3 Si-Trim centrifugal supercharger intended to create a very safe and dependable 600+ rwhp. JBA’s R&D jumped on 2010 Camaro exhaust development and immediately pushed 12 new products into manufacturing. The JBA Super Sport will display the aggressive exhaust offerings including the 6813SJS 1 /78 Long Tube Headers, 6813SDC Mid-Pipes with Cats and the competition version of their 3 inch Cat-Back exhaust system 40-3113. Vortech then will add the icing on the cake by developing a custom tune to accommodate the new free flowing exhaust environment.

Efforts to create the perfect driving experience include a significant weight savings with the addition of a carbon fiber hood with an aggressive 4-inch cowl and a carbon fiber Deck lid and new rear spoiler provided by Carbon By Design. While the build is still in the final stages we do know that a Hurst Shifters Billet/Plus short throw shifter is included in the package along with a carbon fiber 1 piece IEDL Drive shaft, Baer 6 piston brakes with drilled and slotted rotors, B&G S2 Sport lowering springs, Lexani LSS5 22 inch wheels and Toyo 265x30x22 Tires. The JBA Super Sport will enjoy the complete GTS treatment including headlight, fog light, taillight and quarter widow black-outs. The JBA Super Sport is currently in the paint shop getting a complete rework to all surfaces and should be one of the stand out Camaros at the 2009 SEMA show.

WOW!! If it looks like this and has over 600 horses, that is GREAT!! That will be a big hit at SEMA!!:drinking:
Good luck guys and we need more info/pics. The website given is not a website, just a web page. THANKS!!

Looks really good in concept, can't wait to see it manifest! One thing though: Why is it that everyone feels the need to stuff in these gaudy, oversized wheels that barely clear? I don't think there's a whole lot of performance to be got by doing this...

Looks cool, but not as good as I hoped, maybe the real thing will be better.

I always liked the Idea of getting a carbonfiber hood and painting it and leaving the Carbonfiber exposed as racing stripes. Very cool.:w00t:

Can't wait to see the car done.

.... how much weight is really being saved vs the stock aluminum hood..... its got 600+ HP.... does it make a difference????? i think not.
