Railcar question

When tracking the CSX rail car - am I tracking the RAILcar and not MYcar?

I have a feeling my car is not on the rail any longer..
Anyone with experience here?
Thanks

When your car is loaded on the train it is assigned a railcar number.......Thats the railcar number that camaro tracking emails you to allow you to track it as it moves across the country....now the railcar will make several stops at different interchanges depending on your location.......when you call and it tells you that " railcar number ETTX ###### HAS ARRIVED AT INDUSTRY" Then it will be offloaded from the train and parked in the rail yard and wait on a truck to load it and bring it to your dealer......... Remember Arrived at Industry.Thats what you want to hear when you call! Hope this helps

Thanks - CSX still says that it is at an interchange. But I'm not sure where else my car can go. it is only 2 hours from the dealer..

We'll see - impatience is getting to me..

My "Industry" is in South Carolina but it made a stop in SC before departing for Industry I couldnt figure out why it would make 2 stops in the same state within 24hrs but oh well it did and it made to industry this morning at 6:06 am.....This whole tracking deal deal can get frustrating/confusing but its all worth it in the end

Mine made three stops in SC before it got on a truck to NC.. Left Oshawa on rail on 12/9 - arrived at dealership 12/19.. Took delivery 12/22. Had her six month today!!! 6,100 miles and still permagrin'ing every single day...

Usually Interchange means it is switching from one railroad company to another. Some interchange moves take a few days.

My car was reported in Tampa last night, but wasn't unloaded until 11:00 a.m. today.

Mine was in Mesquite, TX yesterday at 10am. This morning it says 'placed at customer location' according to the CSX infoline at 8.14am this morning.

Wonder when it gets to the dealer?

another 3-10 days is the consensus. The Rail yards can have thousands of cars and they all work their way through. Mine has been 2 hours away for ~4 days now. But you may get lucky - I hope so!

Hmmm, that would suck. But hey, something good is always worth waiting for!

Fingers crossed it does happen and they do pull it out of the bag and get it to dealer for Monday.
