This is going to be a cool DIY. I know a lot of vette guys that have done this retrofit and you DO NOT need a new windshield. The stock one will work fine.

GREAT work on this so far, 2SSRS... no doubt you will do an awesome job with this DIY. If I wasn't already committed to trading the 2010 i got used for an new '11 with IOM interior instead of the black and with the rear-parking sensors (and HUD of course) then I would be right there with you trying to do this.
I seriously doubt you would need a new windshield considering how much reflection we get just from the black defrost vents against the black faux-leather plastic dash :) The HUD will probably reflect just fine in all but the most direct sunlight on it. |
