CAI inc intake. WOW!

So i installed my new CAI intake the i got from apex motorsports(really fast shipping btw)this weekend and wow it is amazing, probably the best intake for the lfx. the sound is really nice and loud i didnt expect it and u can feel a slight power increase. install was really easy the only annoying part was putting the lid on(took about 20 mins) evantually i just cut the hood molding off cause it was kinda in the way. i highly recommend this product. will post pics later! more mods to come !!!

It's a great mod - you should not have had to cut any of the moulding off though. Now pair that CAI up with some a ported throttle body, some hi-flow cats and a cat-back exhaust and you'll be laughing!

Glad to hear you are so happy with our CAI, we really appreciate your support!! :)

Sometimes the rubber trim that wraps around the engine bay comes from the factory a little uneven, and is pushed to far up the driver side. When that's the case you can just remove it and re-attach it so that it is slid over towards the passenger side a little more and out of the way. ;)

Yep, CAI is a great mod for our engines!

I'm also considering a CIA intake, I looked up the one from Apex for a V6, and its a pretty good buy. What does the hood scope do for it when paired with it? Or the benefits gained by pairing it with the CIA intake.

Are you referring to the apex air scoop? This mounts near the driver front wheel well & takes air from the bottom grill and helps pass it up to the air intake. Another common thing to do is move the windshield washer reservoir as the stock one blocks that air flow. I installed the rotofab windshield washer relocate and the apex scoop with my CAI. Apex also sells a WW relocate.

Best mod for our cars is the CAI air intake!

Agreed, the best. I love getting close to redline now

djcfuzz pretty much covered it. In short, it helps the intake do it's job better and make more power.
