Drive thru carwash??
 

Whats up everyone,

So lately ive been caught up with work, working long hours by the time im out hand car washes are closed and the sun has set. Everytime i wash my car it only stays clean for about 5 days and its filthy again. Since i really dont have much time to wash my car myself my Fiance recommends to use a drive thru car wash. I wanted to know who would recommend the drive thru and who wouldnt and why.

Nnnnoooooooo!!! NEVER! If you do choose this route atleast make sure it is a touch less one... and I hope you dont have a dark color car

Go to a hand-wash place over lunch.

Automatic car washes will take their toll on your paint after a while.

There are all sorts of scary things in there.

Oh, I also see you're from SoCal. I used to live down there and religiously took my car to a coin wash where I brought my own buckets and wash mitts.

Sometimes I take my winter beater through the car wash. It gets scratched, but the salt gets washed off.

I can't think of any reason to go through a car wash in SoCal, though, particularly with a Camaro!

i take mine to a car wash and this is probably the best car wash in NJ... i never had a problem there "so far" :X

My Infiniti has 80k miles, I do the most expensive auto car wash every week, then get a free one everytime I get the most expensive one, there are obviously certain auto car washes out there that you want to avoid, but the paint on my car is still in fine, near flawless condition. No scratches or inconsistencies or peeling or anything... it's darn near perfect. Besides a few little spots on the front bumper/hood where there are only a few small chips from the road, from rocks, not automatic car washes.
