Thanks for the video. Sorry about the advertisement in the original title. One of the photo captions say ( The Dale Jr. Interior features a Z28 sewing pattern on the retrimed seats)No Z28 embroidery but it does look prety good Hr is also having some fun with some Firebird concept ideas. Personally I prefer the camaro. Cant wait for it to come of the truck.

I did a search and don't think anyone's posted this yet. If so - my apologies. Anyway, the February 2009 issue of Hot Rod magazine has a nice write-up and some good professional photos of the SEMA camaros. The magazine also stated the SEMA GM racing camaro would be at the Daytona 24 Hours weekend in February racing in the Grand Am Koni Challenge Series.

Oh yeah and for you firebird lovers, the magazine throws some fuel on the rumor fire for a '12 Firebird by commissioning automotive designer Murray Pfaff to do some pretty bad-ass renderings of a would-be Firebird.

any links or pics? and i highly doubt the 'bird will return, especially with the current financial state of the industry. they even delayed the Camaro convertible because they can't afford to work on it right now

I'm pretty sure the only videos available at hotrod.com are those that were released about the SEMA cars prior to the show -- otherwise the website doesn't have anything about the article. I'll try and scan and post some of the photos tomorrow.

He's spouting off about how "The Yenko Lives" and he can't believe that Yenko hasn't already sent out a press release announcing the car.

I can't believe how uninformed these car magazines are.

LOL, for a while I was soo fed up with magazine articles that people posted, that i actually had "Please don't post another magazine article again" in my sig. Just listen to GM, they have to sell cars, magazines have to sell rumors. That's just the way it is.

Agreed - there is no actual evidence whatsoever that there will be the return of the bird, but I still think the renderings are cool

The only news release I'll believe is the one posted by Mr. TransAm himself; Burt Reynolds, followed quickly by Sally Field with a Flying Nun Firebird edition.

i love firebirds..........but that firebird is hideous!

I think that firebird looks awesome, except the grill looks to smiley. Of course, I owned a 76 so I am a bit biased. I thought that the 70s firebirds always looked better than the camaros. (Please don't punch me in the face now)

My first car was a firebird (79) so I'm partial to them but I think the new camaro looks way better then the firebird concept..... very ugly seems like they could have done something more interesting, perhaps if they had based it on an earlier version of the firebird...

Still its interesting to think about.

How fitting is it that on the cover of the mag there are pics of the camaro and the new mustang

I picked up a copy a few weeks ago. I love the LS7 Camaro! :bow:

I think I'm going to frame the cover for the garage, and there's an ad for 'Tremec' inside with the LS7 which I may save as well. That LS7 is one bad Camaro. :thumbsup:

For the GOOD of GM....get rid of Pontiac or take it back to its racing heritage only....we don't need both the Camaro and Firebird....
