Rally stripe dilemma

Hi all, new to the forum - just picked up my baby on Saturday! I went in knowing I wanted yellow with black rally stripes, but the dealer threw me for a loop. They don't do the Chevy packages, they have a local body shop come in every Friday to do the work instead. Which means I can put ANY stripes I want on it, for the same cost as the GM package. Which is freaking awesome - but now I'm stumped between 2 graphics.

I really want to do something a little different than the package stripes, just because my daily driver for the past 12 years was heavily modified and like nothing else out there. Just driving around yesterday, I saw 2 yellow Camaros with the factory stripes and (as stupid as it sounds) it bothers me to see that many cars that look like mine. So I found 2 options that I like equally well and have asked friends and family for advice. Over 30 replies - it's split 50-50. Of course.

Option 1 is similar to the Chevy package, but with the stripes continuing over the roof. Option 2 takes the stripes over the bumpers.

Has anyone had any issues with either graphic? I'm leaning towards the full stripe, but since I'm assuming it's a vinyl overlay I'm concerned if there will be issues with pitting since it's so low to the ground. Any thoughts or "been there, done that" on choosing one or the other would be appreciated. I've always known exactly what I've wanted on every car I've customized, I've never been stuck like this and have until Wednesday to make a decision!

I know what you're saying. Before buying mine, I had only noticed one other Camaro in our small town and it was silver. The day we brought ours home I saw 3 other black ones and buy the end of that first week found out there were a total of 5, ranging from a 1LT to a 1SS. Two of them had the white stripes, so I went with new wheels and slightly different, 3D carbon fiber (look) stripe to set mine apart from the 'pack'.

Do COPO's to get away from the Bumblebee look. If that's what you want. Of the option I like full stripe kit.

Go with full Indy stripes. Not too many out there.

Very very nice! Any issues with road debris damaging the bottom?

Sooooo Love the Full Indy Stripes! I was totally leaning that way until I noticed the amazing metallic flake in my Blue Ray finish - just could't justify covering so much of the sparkle finish with vinyl. But for yellow??!!! Full Indy Stripes For Sure!!!!

Option 2

go all the way- Stripes only look right when they go all the way to the ground. Of course, mine isn't done that way but I learned from my mistake.

I felt the same way when i got my Crystal Red home. no way i can cover up all that shiny paint. so i am going with cowl spears, skinny copo stripes on the fenders and the copos on the quarterpanels
