Autoclub Speedway in Fontana - Drag Racing 10/15
Does anyone have more information? I can't get the exact times from the site...it just says 6am, and no one there picks up that knows the answers.
What time do the races go on till? Can we get there later than 6am... say noon? Has anyone done drags at this track? Can you give a little more insight on the process and experience (good track, organized, etc)? |
Racing starts at 9am and ends at 5 pm. I haven't been to a day race in several years......they use to break for lunch at 12 noon. As long as they haven't reached their max (500 cars), you should still be able to check in.
Make sure you bring your registration, insurance, and a snell approved helmet. Wear long pants.....no shorts. Track prep is ok....not as good as Irwindale, but it's ok. DA usually hovers around 2800 - 3100, so don't expect great times compared to other tracks. I will be there..... |
Thank you! I appreciate all of your input. Now to order a helmet, or do I really need one with a stock (CAI only) SS M6? I read that you don't need one if you're not below 13.99.

If I can get the day off of work I'll try and make it. I want to try out my new twin disc clutch.

I will be going just to watch as the Camaro is still in the shop getting the cam/heads done and I took the nitrous off the truck to put it in the Camaro forr some testing.
|
Nitros...Sick....I may stop by to hang with you all but I'm not gonna race the Beast until I get my suspension done.
My girls have Soccer but I should be done by 1pm...I may even go to meet another Camaro group at Whitwood mall at 2pm.. Need to see what the Mrs. wants to do. |

What ever happened to the Poker Night you were going to do? |
i was reading the rules, it says
Exhaust Must be routed through street legal muffler(s). All runs will be monitored on a decibel meter (100db at 100" from the strip). If it is too loud you will not be allowed to run. NO EXCEPTIONS! It is your responsibility. & my buddy has lt headers with a muffle delete on his '11 l99. well they let him run? |
Bumblebabe, what time are you going? I'm going from the Valley area (with a friend of mine and his '02 SS)...we can meet in Pasadena. Let me know if you've set anything up with others for a caravan. :)
