so they just took the mufflers off. Is there a DIY instructions out there. Will this mess up the computer. To me it sounds like its still muffled by something is that Cat? Also does this car have true duals or is it a H pipe

Sounds.... Awesome!
I'm super impressed! |
I just love how you can now see the IRS with those jerry cans removed. Great mod for looks and sound!

It won't affect computer -- nothing back past the cats are monitored. LS/LT/SS cars all have true duel exhaust w/ an X-pipe. And yes, the cats (2 per bank, 4 total) do muffle the car a bit. |
As featured on homepage.
Here is some more; Deceleration to idle Idle Right side with independent rear visable. |
Will it pass smog?

Cool I think! It could only be better, for the money, if the pipes were mandrel-bent and stainless (they didn't look stainless anyways). I think the only muffling left are the resonators. It sounds pretty good!

 on start up and idle it sounds just like my truck. not that that is a bad thing.
i have a 2001 silverado with the 4.8 LR4(iron cousin of the LS engines) and the exhaust dumps right after the cat. it was suppose to be a temp fix, that was 2years ago. |
