Red Chevy bowtie on BumbleBee

Do you think GM or aftermarket will make the red Chevy bowtie seen on BumbleBee?

I think the red bowtie would look good with the red SS/RS emblem.

I think it would look good too

I hope so. I was just watching the Nascar race today and was telling my roommate how that gold bowtie stands out so much on the front of the car. So I came on here looking for something just like this. I found a two tone car with an all red bowtie, but I like this one even better. This would look great on a black or red SS.

After going to the Chicago Auto Show and seeing the red bow tie, I've been wondering this myself. To me, the Gold bow tie is an eyesore especially on the Black RS/SS2 I'll be ordering. If the red bow tie isn't available, is there any way to get a bow tie delete?

I agree 100%.

On the stock grille you can remove the Bowtie but you will see an indentation in the grille where it is supposed to be mounted.

On the optional heritage grille, on jr's SEMA car, you can remove it and have a clean grille... Or you can paint it yourself... you can use spray cans if you have to an it will look nice.. :iono:

I was actually going to have the local shop fab up a silver "SS" to mount in place of the bowtie. Got a quote on it and it'll run around $50 for the metal work and paint extra... But I still have to wait to GET the car so they can measure all the details of the grill for custom mounting. That's the only cosmetics I'm doing to mine!!!!!

Just remove the gold bowtie and paint it like you want it and reinstall it.

You can remove bow tie and take to a body shop and they can do every what color you wish, I have done it on my black 05 silverado and 08 tahoe

Slick Rick,
I like the picture. Tell me what you know about the mirrors and the front bumper. The mirrors look very thin, which I like. The front bumper looks different where the fog lights go. :coolpics:

I saw a black '97 Monte Carlo on the way to work today that had a small red bow tie. It looked just like this one...

Hopefully I'll be able to get a factory one :). If not, Ill just take it to a body shop and get it custom painted.

I'm sure there will be aftermarket chrome and billet bowties readily available also.
