HOW MUCH $$$ HAS CAMARO5 COST YOU?

I realized today, as I'm about to install me new MPD1 Spoiler, that if I hadn't seen it on Camaro5 I never would have known about it, thus, never purchased it......

then... more thinking..... about ALL the "mods" I never would have known about without the C5 forum and members.....

Reading this forum has cost me a little over $5,000 in stuff I would have not even known I wanted, until I stumbled upon them on here and said, "I NEED that!"

In order to support my "habit" I guess I'll just postpone my retirement from the Navy until the addiction passes, or, all the evil vendors and members quit coming up with new cool stuff......

Maybe a new C5 motto would be in order:

"Camaro5, postponing retirements since 2006"
:laughabove:

a month in and already $500 down the drain. I blame every penny on this site. I hate all of you, my children will have you people to blame for never going to college! :mad0260:

ps - not really :sm0:

What's even more upsetting after spending $5,000 in mods is knowing it adds little additional value to your car. Mods are for your pleasure and enjoyment and not for the next owner of your car.
Thank you for your service to our country.

I don't even have my car yet,And I've already spent almost $2,000 on mods!!! :yikes:

It was gonna happen with or without Camaro5!! Camaro5 just helps in finding the best parts and deals for me!! :sm0:

$3200 and another 600 coming up. Then some dressup items and thats it. I hope.

I thought I was satisfied with my car just the way it was until I came across C5. Probably spent half a years worth of car payments in 3 months.

Dont even know. It mu mod list can be blamed on camaro5. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Mine cost a bit.

I keep a spread sheet on every car i own and all of the "extra" expenses.
I don't even have this car yet and I am at $4,898.16. But i should get about $1,000-$1,200 of that back when i sell my stock 20" wheels and tires.

I think i am pretty much done for a few months, or at least i hope i am. I got ALL the bolt on stuff and quite a bit of dress up stuff.

After driving the car a few months I will be doing a cam and springs install, but don't see me going any further than that.

no worries on that.... as you said... my "enjoyment" and I've been told mods actually DECREASE the value of your car in the long run (collectors etc).

I think of the car as a "toy" and a hobby, not an investment.

Probably 600 or so. Bought a pistol grip shifter, aluminum bow ties, kick plates, cell phone holders. Oh, and add another 600 on a garage vac, rolling shelf, and tons of zaino cleaning product. Love it all, don't feel I've wasted a penny.
I also have a CAI and GMPP headers but bought those prior to reading the forum.
Oh yeah, can't forget the 1000 I spent on clear bra and having the car professionally clayed and detailed.

So a total of maybe 3500 in mods. Of which this forum drove 2200 or so. Jeeze!

But I wouldn't change a thing. The forum has helped educate me to make intelligent decisions.

speaking of great deals.... if you are in the beginning stages of the addiction my thread on coupon codes will save you a bundle:

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=108828

I got those mostly from other threads and compiled them onto one thread... if you read the entire thread you will see posts from vendors with time updated deals from time to time.

My husband has spent a lot from ideas from C5 on our Camaro and I have thought about pulling "wife aggro" and make him not come onto the site for a while but then I turn around and see something on here and say "Hey honey, did you see this? That would look sweet on the Camaro!" and send him the link at work. I guess I don't help either... lol  :help:
