1LE ordering will be suspended for 3 months due to cold weather

Just got this from GM.

Effective November 19, 2013, Chevrolet will temporarily suspend processing of orders for the 2014 Camaro ZL1 model and the SS Performance Package (RPO: 1LE) due to the effect of cold weather on the performance tires for these models. Again, it is only a temporary suspension that does not impact the Camaro LS, LT and SS ordered without 1LE. Order processing for the 2014 Camaro ZL1 and the SS Performance Package (RPO: 1LE) will resume on February 11, 2014.

Makes sense. I got a feeling that's, at least in part, what was the original hold up from shipping during the 2012 roll out.

I've been to the plant as a vendor. It's the only reason. They can't store and move the cars outside in the lot and on trucks in the freezing cold due to tires.

! I placed my order on 11/8/13 and received 3000 status today. I hope they build mine before it gets too cold! Its already getting below freezing at night in Oshawa. Fingers crossed!!!!!

They should've done this last year rather than having shit tons of orders just sitting there without having given the customer any forewarning.

Did you read the dates? If you did you'd see it does not effect you.

Sweet! I can drive around and still be the only 1LE for a little longer...bwa ha ha! I have never seen one in this part of Eastern NC.
