Well, guys -- here's your Firearms section.
I look forward to reading! :D

One note...Please do keep the discussion responsible, and the politics to a bare minimum. I'm sure you all will -- but I needed to put that out there.

Sweet. I just assembled my new AR about 30 minutes ago.

incustody 06-08-2010 08:18 PM

I don't own any since Janet Reno but sure love hearing about them :)

Smith & Wesson M&P 40 cal. One of the best pistols out there IMO.

incustody 06-08-2010 08:41 PM

Jay I hate to hear the problem you are having with .45 ammo. Let's say being in Georgia has it's benefit and my TigerTail Camaro is well equipped. Never been to California but if you are on a road trip let me know. I bet if you would have been at C5 that your ride would have been heavier back home.

motorhead 06-08-2010 08:41 PM

Does anybody know what a 32win special model 64 and a model 94 in mint condition would be worth no a days.

Funny you should mention but my friend said he had trouble finding Bulk .45 ammo. he was getting killed buying small boxes here and there. Hmm :iono:

:word: I've shot both the full size .40 and .45 M&P's and they are absolutely great. Its a real natural pointer for me and fits my hands perfectly. I've got 276 days, 1 hour and 43 minutes til I turn 21 and thats first on my list.... forget going out to get my first beer on my 21st b-day... I'm going to get one of those instead!

2ndgenz28 06-08-2010 10:29 PM

This is all Im packin a Daisy PowerLine 4500 with a 13shot clip.
Should of got the BB version over the pellet ;)

i know i would have to get a gun license (and other things )

LostInMoscow 06-09-2010 12:59 AM

I'm down to one gun - S&W Model 1006 semi-automatic 10 MM pistol. If you are going to own only one gun, it's a good one to own!

Sure why not. As long as you are legal.

I am not much on old gun values. check gunbroker.com to see what they are going for these days.

I would guess the 94 would be worth 700 to 1,000.

The machete is always last resort, dropping zombies at range is always preferred as it lessens your chance of infection and keeps your choice of escape routes broad :D

Anyway, I currently have Marlin M60, pretty close to the one below but it has a squirrel engraved on the handle (in case you forget what it's made for I guess heheh) and I put a 2x7 scope on it.

http://admiralfrum.files.wordpress.c..._22lr-jpg.jpeg

But right now my pride and joy is an M94 Swedish Mauser  It's definitely not in collectors quality, but it shoots beautifully and that's all I care about right now :D I'd love to get an M1 and M14 added to the collection at some point.

Sweet! Looking at getting a shotgun soon, but I don't want to take money out of the camaro fund :(

I'm thinking along these lines. I want something different than everybody else I know. So, 1014 anyone?

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...nelli_m4_2.jpg

I would love to see one but I have only been looking at getting one for a few months. Gonna have to wait for the next gun show.:D

Camaro_Corvette 06-09-2010 11:16 AM

Not cheap. Cheapest one I have found is something like 1500 dollars. Crazy, but I better be able to get an 8 round cap for that price. But from what I have read civi's only get a 4+1 round cap. Military gets 8+1 :confused0068:

I've always heard the M1 has huge recoil, is this true? Nice collection BTW.

metalemt 06-09-2010 11:34 AM

Hey lordfriday I see you have the FiveSeven, do you get your ammo here in vegas or else where? I'm still waiting on the devastator rounds from elite for it.

metalemt 06-09-2010 11:36 AM

Yeah I just have the FN Five-Seven, FN FNP-45, Glock 19 and 17C. and carry around my work Smith and Wesson MP15.

Never shot one myself, but my educated guess: It'll be more than an M16/AR15 (obviously, those things barely have a recoil), but it's not going to knock you on your butt by any means. Remember, these rifles were used in combat, so soldiers had to fire these things A LOT and ACCURATELY, two things which an overly large recoil would stop. I'd guess it'd probably be pretty close to my Swedish Mauser. As long as you hold it tight to your shoulder (like you should with ANY rifle/shotgun), you'll be fine
