Camaro5 IDP Fantasy Football for 2013.
 

OK, I've renewed last years league. We only had 5 people in the league last year because I didn't think to do it until about a week before the season began. This year, we have more notice.

Please let me know if you want to join. It's a Yahoo league just like the other Camaro5 Regular FFL's so you can use that account if you already have it.

Here are the settings for this league, which is IDP. Meaning, you draft defensive players too and get points for their individual play. I like this kind of league because you get to learn a little more about defensive players by following it more closely this way.

Wow! That's a deep roster

It's not any different except you need to do your research on your defensive players. it's two extra challenges on top of standard fantasy football leagues.

1) you need to pick players who will score more points (Ray lewis from Baltimore may be the defensive leader, but Ed Reed scored more fantasy points then Ray Ray last year)

2) you need to figure out when you want to draft IDPs mixed with the rest of your offensive players. Do you wait till the 9th round to start drafting IDPS, or do you really want a specific player and pick them in the 3/4/5/6 rounds?

It's a lot of fun. Last year was my first time in an IDP league and I won, so beginner's luck or not, it's really how you prepare for the draft. It doesn't any more skill than a standard league.

Yeah, that was my first time with as deep a roster as last year, though I had done a more limited IDP once.

I think the coolest thing about being in the IDP league is paying attention to defense more. TD's and yards on offense is sexy, but it's only one half of football.

10 Players will make this a much more interesting season. Last season with just 5, I think everyone ended up with starting caliber QB's across the board.

Someone remind me, I set the player rankings because I can't participate in the draft at this time, it'll still pick them right? Been a while since I actually have done a "live" draft.

Yes, if the player is available when it is your turn to pick, you will get that player.

Yeah, it will pick...just remember there are phone apps too that you can use to do your picks for Yahoo!

Though it'll pick for you, there can be players you'll get instead of what you may really want have picked by doing it live.

Yea, anything can happen in a straight point league.

5 minutes after "kickoff time" and they still haven't kicked off. I just saw that Patrick willis isn't playing tonight. Since they aren't kicked off, I should be able to change to Poluszny. =/
