Suspension advice!!!!
 

2 days ago got the ZL1 rear sway bar install, change link and lower arm...
after i secure the bar, i notice that to tide the links on the passenger side i push down the bar and the driver side i pull up to install the link...:iono:
my question for the experts:

1) after change the lower arm do i need alignment?
2) how much i have to tide the links?

PS: Can somebody with a 2012 suspension post a photo to see if i did everything right... maybe is just me but the car feels kind of weir when i drive it... TIA!:help:

Aside from having the nuts on the bottom of the droplink stack (which will not hurt anything) you have most likely done the job correctly. If all four bushes on each droplink are making good contact with no air gaps the nuts should be tight enough. From the looks of the picture I am thinking you need a couple of turns.

The rear lower inner bolts are your camber eccentrics so the best case scenario is your alignment would be close to right if the eccentrics have been indexed to a painted mark and even then I would highly recommend an alignment.

Thank you JP for you reply! What's the worst case if i wait to get my lower springs to be install so i can aligment? Not going to have it for a couple of weeks... :help:

How many miles will you drive between now and your alignment?

I'll said 300+....

If your wheels don't appear to be pointing out or in (toe) and you avoid burnouts and aggressive driving you should be OK. If your tires are already worn OK may not last 300 miles.

I tide the links like you said and improve a lot! Tires are straight! But i'll do the aligment! :thumbsup:
