GFX exhaust surrounds resonance with cat backs

Have cat backs with a fairly loud bark on a 2SS. At low RPM when driving a resonance/rattle is evident which sounds very metal like. Pretty sure it is the exhaust surrounds on the GFX. They are very thin metal which would be prone to generating such a noise from the exhaust.
Has anyone else experienced this? Has been suggested the fix is to tone the exhaust down but this is not a preferred option.

You could cut off your exhaust tips. That's what I did with mine.

Mine has rattked ever since i took off tbe bezels..i have straightpipes...od be able to cut them offright before they enter the bezels? Will i smell the exhaust in the car...would the fumes ruin anything underneath?

Basically I cut off the tips. So where the tips are welded to the exhaust pipe is where I cut. No fumes in the car and it doesn't ruin anything underneath the car.

So id be safe cutting the pipe right before it goes to the bezels you think?

Great info thanks.
Could you please post a photo that shows where you cut and how it looks?
This would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
I assume that this mod fixed any rattles or resonance?
