Twoblindsheep's Build SW 2011 2SS/RS (LOTS of pictures) [COTW 1/6/14]
 

So ive been a lurker on here since 2010 and didnt decided to make an account till 2012.. so i have a lot to catch up on lol lets see where to begin..

I grew up in an asian family so chevy or ford as never been the answer here.. only hondas and toyotas lol so you can imagine how my family felt when i came back home with a camaro :yikes:
unlike everyone else my addition of camaro came from my close buddy when i went with him to pick up a brand new 2011 2LT/RS. i was mad jealous and i told him.. some day.. some day ill get one too!
later that year i joined the United States Air Force and started a new chapter in my life. after graduated from tech school i got stationed in Delaware. i decided that i just want something that can get me from point A to B... then i met my roommate.. he was addicted to the speed, lived the fast life.. he had a 08 mustang tuned by rosh. he took me out for a ride and i felt in love with that torque. after that my search for a fast car started.
at first i was looking for a mustang but after talking to 2 dealers around the area it really left me very bitter... at that time the mustang 5.0 was way cheaper than the new 2011 camaro.. after almost 5 months of searching i found the car i wanted in Maryland and it was a camaro! it looked just like my buddies camaro!

it didnt take me long to start the mods thanks to this forum lol started with a new cold air intake and then i dipped all the bowties and wheels! later on i went down to Ohio to one of the Razzi shop and installed the full body kit! even jumped on the JDP color changing halo when it on was pre released!

after 6 months of owning this car i wanted more power..was really looking at the turbo kit for the V6 till i found a better deal!

a brand new 2011 2SS/RS in NJ. Summit white and red interior?! i was sold!! call the dealership up and told them i was interested! tried to bargain over the phone and said nothing about my 2LT. that weekend i drove 2 hours up to NJ with my Co-worker who owned a 2010 2SS.. the reason why?... i didnt know how to drive a manual.. LOL :doh: she taught me in her camaro like 5 mins before picking the car up ... sooo it wasnt a pretty site at the dealership :pound:
anyways skipping forward.. i got one hella deal! first i traded my used 2LT for 22K when i only bought it for 19k! :thumbup: and right after getting a quote on my trade in the finance guy came out and told me i got 0% for 72...:confused0068: i grabbed that pen and signed it.

the car was sold to me off the lot 31k! i couldnt stop smiling! and the crazy part is that my black camaro was sold when i was signing the paper.. i didnt even think that was possible.. i should of asked for more if i had known lol
saw my old camaro drive by when i stopped at McDonalds. if i was in my car i would be chasing him down! lol

after the got back home.. got back on here.. and started my mods!!!

Ya, because they were delayed everytime they said they were going to put them out... I followed the thread forever and lost faith that they were ever going to drop. They look good though.

well got her on the lift today and installed the new ZL1 Magnaflow Catback! this thing sounds amazing!! i love the new deep sound. next project now is to install the new ZL1 diffuser!

had to bend the xpipe as it was like almost 2 inches away from the headers.
thanks to Jordan from JDP for giving me advice on the install! we end out heating it up and bend the xpipe out to fit the headers!~

Awesome looking car. You have a great build there. When you put your 3-D fender vents did you cut out the fenders for realism.

thank you! did it about 2 months ago.. i had a friend do it.. my hand would be shaking the whole time just the thought of cutting my car up... lol

I know it sounds awesome! Can't wait to see it. I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet. I got most of my mods done that I wanted to get done before old man winter hit. I was going to do HFC but I'm looking to get my headers when weather breaks with HFC and the tune. I retire in August and I'm looking to possibly do the LS3 conversion, cam as Steve McNett did with his pace car.

Anyway, its coming down like a mofo here. Most counties have declared an emergency and to stay off the roads in all circumstances. We're expecting 12" and then temperatures in the 40 below zero range for the next few days and then, yet another snow maker coming on Thursday. My last winter as a trooper :clap2: and believe me, 34yrs is enough! :thumbsup:

well you can always get the HFC with the headers! i believe i paid like 600 for my brand new LG headers and HFC.. someone sold their car and didnt get a chance to put it on.. killer deal! i believe they run for like 1100 without cats.
i didnt get my tune till i got back from camarofest and i remember jelly was giving me so much crap about having the headers and no tune! lol took it to mike norris and got my Vmax TB there too. no core charge! lol but yes! once tax return comes by i want to get heads and NightFury cam. thats the same one as steves. the only down part is that i was told its not a easy cam to be tuned.. and he said that if he would do it again he would have the guys who made them tune it.. thats like 14 hours drive from indy lol


oh yeah! even tho im in another state my facebook is always blown up by my friends and Fox59 on the snow lol thats crazy! i dont think in 15 years of living there i saw the temp drop down to -40 something.. thats freaking nuts!! its really the end of the world lol im glad you finally decided to retire! lol time to relax and get the mods started lol

yeah see thats awesome! that was the down fall on mine.. i drove me nuts with the fitment! dont get me wrong i love the bumper but i just cant stand how it fitted! thank you man! i dont think i will make it there anytime soon lol the car needs to be finished! its not even painted yet lol
