DIY lighted Bowtie
12 Attachment(s)
ok, i had a few LED's left over from other mods, so i decided to start hacking again:D, removed rear bowtie to repaint and decided to cut it out. install the LED's and see what happens. well it came out pretty cool, not sure if im going to leave it that way, i have a few other ideas. i have posted a video and nite pic, neither look that good, but it looks alot better in person. i will try to get better pic, my camera bites when it comes to night pics
this mod cost me 2 hours and $0.00:D left over parts:) note: the brown wire is the tail light wire that is one when the lights are on. lupe |

i'm not 100% sure im going to leave it this way. i can see some of the LED's, more than i would like, it wobbles a bit still and i cant press it all the way down, then the light wont shine around. sooooooo, i thinking of some other stuff. i have seen at autozone a real thin flexible light tube, i'm thinking of trying to outline the inside of the bowtie and see how that might work. i will keep yall posted. thanks for taking the time to look and post, it makes my day.:D:bow::) lupe |
That definatly does look awesome Great job man!!

What if you add plexiglass to the back of the bowtie just enuf where it will stick to the car and just enuf where it will let the light shine through. What do you think.
