I just had to do it! Hate it or love it. But I'm in LOVE :D
Big thanks goes out to Lupe(overhaluengines) for the install. Made a trip to San Antonio over the weekend. He got it done in 6-8 hrs. Very easy to work with. Would recommend him to anyone. Can't wait to work with him on future mods.

Indpowr 07-26-2011 07:55 PM

It is your car, mod it the way you want not what everyone else wants. That is what makes modding fun.

StealthZ28 07-26-2011 08:47 PM

Honestly I wouldnt do it to mine...However I think with the set up you got looks like you can pull it off...Some of the 5th Gens do look cool with them..Mainly just for show not sure about just pullin up to walmart and getting out but either way..Props

^^^^This..

Not my cup of tea on a sports car, but it's your ride, you are the one driving it, and ultimately, as long as you like it....that's all that really matters.

Enjoy it!

To be honest, that's the only reason I'd ever want these doors...it cuts down the room needed by about half to open them..

angie7 07-26-2011 09:32 PM

I know a lot of people bash those doors but I really like them. It looks awesome!

Jason7 07-26-2011 09:36 PM

Exactly! You make the car payments...do what you want.

Sin 07-26-2011 11:20 PM

Looks great!

5thGenOwner 07-26-2011 11:49 PM

I don't see how anyone can bash 'em...

Was this car not a TRANSFORMER? What could be more fitting? :iono:

=Stephens= 07-27-2011 12:04 AM

Very nice. I like them alot.

Sketti 07-27-2011 10:45 AM

:barf:

bhall82 07-27-2011 10:48 AM

Looks good.

scottyvegas 07-27-2011 11:25 AM

Good job.

myold88 07-27-2011 11:36 AM

First thing I thought of seeing these is resale value- These will not be a plus at trade in time- IMO of course.

Sarah 07-27-2011 11:48 AM

^^^ Not everyone plans to resale. I plan to keep mine as long as i'm alive. I grew up where my entire family is used to having some sort of car collection (Mostly old cars) and my camaro will be apart of mine along side a 1972 Nova.

Been debating about doing this mod as well. Looks pretty good TLD0520.

cruznls 07-27-2011 11:58 AM

What was the price on parts and install ? :w00t:

nyrfan 07-27-2011 12:51 PM

I particularly like the aluminum foil on the house window

As for the doors, not sure on that yet. They just look like some heavy doors to be hanging like that, would make me really nervous.

PAUL SS 07-27-2011 12:53 PM

I have seen those hinges, they look pretty hefty, how much weight do they add to the car?

St33lsinger 07-27-2011 01:02 PM

Your car bro. Do what you want to it. It looks ok to me though. :)

motorhead 07-27-2011 01:02 PM

It's your dime. For me I can't see the point in adding more weight to an alright heavy car. I also don't understand why people think it looks good. I like to see cars with their doors closed no matter how they open.

unless you have bikes hanging above yours like I do in my garage. Wonder what this does to resale value?

Switchin2Chevy 07-27-2011 01:37 PM

That looks awesome. Good job man..!

buzzy56 07-27-2011 01:59 PM

It's all about the door's remember !

It's all about the doors! I like the look ,however I would not do this to my car even though I plan on taking it to the grave with me Ha Ha.
Nice work, Lupe is the Mod Man for sure. Do it the way you like it and the
He-l with the rest of them.
Your car ,your money and your time!

TLD0520 08-01-2011 11:27 AM

Thanks for all the comments. I could really care less if people don't like it. It's not their car. It's completely bolt on so I could change it back to stock tomorrow. I'll get out sometimes the normal way and no one even knows I have them.

edgar3 08-01-2011 11:29 AM

looks great! One of the first I've seen with it done. It's on my long list of mods...

LittleMT 08-01-2011 11:34 AM

floyd haughton 08-01-2011 11:39 AM

robertgss3 08-01-2011 11:45 AM

Glad you like it, looks good.

bumblebeecamaro 08-01-2011 12:48 PM

I would hate to see what happens when the struts fail on those things. I would imagine these doors are crazy heavy.
