Rotofab fun and Screwy clutches
 

Got the first of a few things on order.
Threw the Roto fab intake on and was supremely impressed after having a CAI induction on my SS a few years ago. Took me 30 minutes from beginning to end and holy crap does that whine come through 10x better.

My buddies got a 1LE and i figured I would post this as well to get a general consensus.

I drove his car the day he got it and it felt pretty good, similar to my old SS but far more solid feeling. Clutch engage/disengage felt solid as well.
2 months later and he blocked my ZL1 in so I took his car a few blocks up to the market and dear lord it feels like he's lost all the weight on the back end of the clutch as it disengages. It feels good for about 2 inches and then when it disengages it goes limp, literally, a small child could floor the clutch once its disengaged. Its not only that but its the way that it goes from firm to limp immediately. Its almost impossible to drive without riding the clutch a little to smooth out the shifts. Anyone else ever feel something like this?

Take it to the dealer if you can't figure it out. At least get it documented if they say it's fine for now. Do the 5th Gens have a clutch spring? My C6 did, but I removed it when I went to a McLeod RXT. It could also be a problem with the clutch master cylinder. Does he road course it or hit twisty roads really hard? Try sucking out the clutch fluid with a syringe or turkey baster. Do that a few times until it's clear again. A remote clutch bleeder setup is really nice for doing this without needing to suck it up and out.
