So it finally happened!!!

:mad0260:I got my first speeding ticket in my camaro after 2 years of owning it. Funny thing is i have past many cops over the speed limit by alot and never seen those lights turn on, but this guy must of been in a bad mood :noidea:. The only thing is i was only going 4 mph faster than the limit, but i guess he did not like that I'm the only one who was not afraid to pass him over.

Update: Cop was going below speed limit checking another car in front of him, and i'm not worried about the ticket i can get off of it. Ticket only shows going 64 mph on a 60, guy did not like me passing him like many others on the road.

:thanks:

You got balls man , Passing a cop in a Camaro going faster than the limit is just asking for it

Not the smartest thing to do :frown: why risk it? I can see if he was going under the speed limit to pass him. I think that would have been my excuse. If he would have pulled me over, I would have told him according to my speedo I was doing the speed limit. I'm sure you're going to contest it.

I don't blame you...I would take my chances every time passing a state trooper 4 mph over. Bad luck.

lol, you don't have a faster car.

You know guys its not that i got balls or anything like that, but it is hard to stay at a constant speed and more speed limit when nobody drives it and then i live in a big city i don't have the option of setting cruise control to avoid things. Also i don't have the digital speedometer on but my gas range, so i ball park it.

Jeffm 04-20-2013 10:04 AM

its called cruise control use it very easy to keep speed with it

jd10013 04-20-2013 10:04 AM

yea, but you passed a cop. always playing with fire when you do that. if for no other reason, your attracting attention to yourself.

sorry to say dude but that is just asking for it like said above. Passing a cop when he's at the speed limit, in a red Camaro, seems like that is just a no brainer he would pull you over. I've passed cops while I was doing the speed limit and he was under before and I was even worried then haha. Did he write the actual ticket for exactly 4 over? I would assume you might be able to get outta stuff if you really wanted, but passing a cop while he's going the speed limit is a bold strategy, I know alot of people who have fought 3-4 mph tickets and won easily but idk how it is where you are.
