That would be seriously cool for it to be a convertible!

Does anyone know besides body and paint, what other upgrades were done to the actual pace car?

Stripes that wrap entirely around the car were first put on the Shelby Mustangs and AC Cobra Daytonas in '65, and Shelby later used the same stripes on the Viper. Chevy's Rally Stripes have always been hood and trunk only. I hope they're vinyl so you can pull up all the ones that are in the wrong place!

Carroll Shelby called them skunk stripes, I guess because they were "skunk works". ;)

But yes definately Ford born!

So...This was one of the cars?

Sure does look... Low

I am originally from Indiana, so my 1997, and now my 2010 Camaros have been badged as phantom "Indy 500 Special Edition" cars- an homage to my home state. Now I will have to gewt me the real Centennial Era Indy Decals...... I am not crazy for the grille- I think it looks very mustangish. As for the stripes, I can see how you could call them Mustang stripes when they run down onto the bumpers in front and back...

Anyone know where to get the front girlle? PM me if you do. I've seen it a few times and I KNOW it's possible to order for the public.
Thanks.
