Dealer allocation
Is there a way to tell what a dealers allocation is other than taking his/her word for it? I'm test driving a Camaro on fri and looking to order a I/O LS. I plan on asking about allocation so I can get an idea on the wait but I dont want themt o jerk me around and say 4 weeks and have it take 12 or whatever. Is there anyway to find out for myself?

No, only the actual dealer and GM know their real allocation.

When I was ordering my Convertible I asked to see the the allocation before I would sign or leave a deposit. One dealership was not happy about it so I left. The next dealership showed me the allocation from GM on thier computer to be issues in December so I signed on the dotted line and paid a small down payment. I don't think you should have any problem with the coupe, everyone seems to have allocations.
Asking is the best you can do ! I wish some dealership whould just be up front ! I have to admit when I bought my coupe in 2009 they were great and up front on delivery dates ! |
Even if you confirm the number of allocations a dealer has over the upcoming weeks, there'd be no way to know that he'd actually use one of them on you, or how many buyers they have lined up in front of you.

I don't understand the reasoning of withholding truthful, & accurate info... it is a matter of trust... or you can always use this... :sm0: Attachment 192389 |
