Nice catch with the cars. Looks like these test mules were based on the pace cars? The rear tires didn't seem wide enough?

Yes gas is expensive in Coronado, there only two gas station there. I drive five miles south in Imperial Beach and get gas for 2.89. I also missed the two Z-28'S. :chevy:

while the gas is more expensive than im used to in ND (2.79 and hasnt budged in about 5 months) I guess I should have put up a sarcastic smiley. Thanks for the responses though

3.39 GL , but in CA we use the IMPERIAL GALLON which is about 30% bigger than the US gallon , get it now?:mad0259::mad0259::mad0259::mad0259::mad0259:: mad0259:

Thats weird. I was stationed in San Diego for the last 5 years and I've seen a bunch of "test" cars out there with the full on "tarp" get up. Wonder why they are always out there? Nice find and great timing

I smell front page news...

Nice find.

Im just curious as to WHY there were 2 in Coronado. Of all places, why would they bring them this far south you know? I can understand a little further north, where the desert and tracks are.. but unless they were just looking for some cool breezes and sunshine..:iono: yesterday a buddy of mine sent me a text, and i guess this kind of clarifies it. Says he saw a funky looking 5th gen driving around with a stamp on the door.

Well done man.

Some no BS, non-photographer, joe blow taken pics on a random day.

They look like the test pics we've already seen which is good.

I like what I'm seeing.

Very nice spot & photos! What does/did the decals on the doors state? I tried enlarging but could not make out what they say.

looks like the hood on the caddy and zr1. Ttey could do more with the rest of the car though.

They might have been in Yuma Az. doing hot weather testing. GM has a proving grounds facility out there.

Nice shots bud. To bad you couldn't ask them to pull over and get some shots and ask some questions.

Hmm maybe. I didnt think about that. Apparently, in one of the other threads, one was spotted doing a video shoot up in northern/central cali. Who knows though.

Fbodfather: Any insider news about this?? :)
