V6 cold air intake

I've been looking around for a cold air intake and I just have one question.

Will a 2010/11 intake fit onto my 2012's V6? All of the 2012 labeled intakes I have found are more expensive that the 2010/11's and I just wanted to know if I could save a good chunk of money.

Im pretty sure they should fit on the 12s, i dont see why not. im not 100% certain though. Im sure somebody knows the right answer

Actually, they don't all fit on the 2012's.

2012 has a different v6 engine...so I think there is a difference. Sorry bud

I believe the 2012 v6 has a different mass air flow sensor. So no they won't. No mass air flow sensor and your car won't start.

The mass airflow sensor is different. But I'm pretty sure its just a matter of the upgraded intake tube. I know that roto fab makes them for the 2012 and the only difference is the intake tube. The air box is the same. Call or search around. I know most companies don't have it listed yet, but I'm sure many make it. Roto fab does have it listed on their site.

That's pretty much it in a nutshell. For "short ram" / elbowed units the only difference is the MAF housing. For the vararam, the additional problem is that the radiator cap is square in the center, right in the way of the vararam intake.

Rotofab will actually sell you the correct MAF housing for the intake tube for like $80 so if you find a used Rotofab for like $100-$150 it'd be kinda worth it.

MAF housing is larger, if you're look at the Vararam, the coolant cap is in a different location. Its the main reason why I just went with the Injen. When I contacted Vararam (via email) to see if they were making one for the LFX, they didn't even bother to write me back.

Ours is the same price as the 2010-11 version, the MAF housing is specific to your 2012 though and will work perfectly.
