**Small Background Story**

My obsession with the 5th gens began at the LA Auto show in 2006 where I first laid eyes on the concept camaro. :eyebulge::wub: I was there with my dad at the time and told him that one day I will buy one. . . My Dad smiled and said keep saving.

To make a long story short my Dad eventually developed lung cancer and was told he has about a year to live. If he wanted to do chemo/radiation it will allow him to live a couple more years. He decided to do the chemo/radiation but even with it, the cancer spread rapidly and 6 months later he passed. It just so happened that the day that we buried his ashes was the day I went to pick up my 2010 2LT/RS. The dealer I bought it from also happened to be down the street from his work.

My Car History-

- My first car was a 89 Toyota Camry. Do I really need to say more about this. . .?

-Then I had a 2003 v6 Camaro in 07 which I sold in 09 to found out a week later after selling it got totalled :facepalm:

-Then 2010 2LT/RS Camaro on 10/22/09.
I had that for almost 2 years but I felt the need for more power.
Sold it private party and decided to save till I could upgrade.

-Had a 03 Subaru WRX as my DD but as it got closer to my goal of a SS I sold it to purchase a a cheap beater DD.

-I currently have a 03 Ford Focus as my beater DD to save my SS from wear and tear.

I didnt realize till just now I have a thing with 03 cars. . . wasn't on purpose, just came across a good deal and they happened to be for an 03 car I suppose. . . Haha

Look what showed up at my door step all alone with no where to go!!!! So I took them in out of the kindness of my heart and gave them a home. Will post pictures later :happyanim::happyanim:

So I received the ZL1 rims but as I was opening them 2/4 have been damaged from shipping. :mad0260::cry: One rim is just the paint but the other actually feels like its been gouged. I was planning on installing them today but if I proceed with the claim it will be a long headache scenario. They want to take the two damaged rims and re ship them back to the seller. So to avoid further damage of being shipped back and forth the seller has to go in and fill out a form giving me ownership. I assume from there they still have to pick up the damaged rims take them to their inspection location then IF they don't weasel their way out of it, get multiple quotes on having the rims repaired then pay out.

Half of me wants to say screw that whole process and just touch it up but I would rather not cut corners when it comes to my camaro.

How bad are we talking about ? Any pics of the damaged rims?

Ugh, that sucks. Are they GM or aftermarket? I would definitely send them back, look really close on the other 2 and make sure while you are already shipping them.

GM purchased from a private seller. Plus these are on national back order so im stuck.

Touch it up for sure it's not worth the wait , it's too small and just a paint scratch it won't even show when touched up .

yea as you can imagine thos are not quite the words I used when i saw the damage. . .

Well I ended up installing the rims yesterday and did a little photo shoot last night near my house. I updated the beginning post with the pictures. :cool:

Yea we do! I was telling Tommy we all need to do a meet and dinner night together with our girls and hang out. Even if u dont have ur bee because we can always do it again when u get it.
