Am I getting ripped off?
I have a 2010 Chevy Camaro 1SS manual (black on black) coming in and I just got the final numbers:
Vehicle Price: $31,795.00 Appearance Protection: $399.00 Theft Protection: $249.00 Selling Price: $32443.00 Sales Tax: $1988.89 Tag/Registration Fees: $598.75 Tire/Battery/MVWEA: $8.50 Dealer Service Fee: $599.95 Balance due: $35,639.09 Does this seem about right or am I getting ripped off? I'm in Miami, Florida |
That dealer service fee is about $500 too high. Are the two protection packages your choice or are they being forced on you? I can't tell you about the Tag/Reg fees because that would be something a local should help you with.

That is more than I paid for my 2SS with RS package. Yes they are getting you.

What the F is that appearance protection and theft protection?? This car comes with OnStar I don't think you need a seperate theft protection. If the appearance protection is the 3M clear bra then okay...

is outrageous. Is that the same as doc fees? If so it should be no more than 100 to 150. |
I just took off the appearance protection and theft protection fees.
The sales guy said the dealer fee was locked in and every customer is charged it. :( |

See if they will come down on the price then. If not, pay it and get your car. If you don't want to pay it, order from another dealer.
