Budget now offering Camaro rentals

Sorry if this is old news...I've been on vacation with no computer since the 5th...but we rented a sedan from Budget at LAX overnight, and when I pulled into the lot, I got quite the shock...probably 25+ Camaros availabe for rent, most of them looked like they just came off the truck...both V6 and SS's. I thought AVIS was the only one renting, but I guess not. Most I've ever seen in one spot.

Avis owns Budget.

I still can't believe the dove tail from Next Level Performance didn't make front page when things like this do. Their dove tail being shipped out as we speak before anyone else's is breakthrough news!

NLP's dove tail spoiler has previously been mentioned and highlighted here:

Oh, that's right! My bad completely.

I'll elaborate on this thread appropriately then. I found this funny by zooming in on the stats they were showing for the rental cars. I thought I was seeing things, but MPG on the SS shows 19-28.
That's 1 mpg more in the city for the SS over the V6 and 1 mpg less on the highway for the SS compared to the V6.
That's very funny advertisment!!! :sm0:
I need to find a way to buy a Budget SS cause dude, I could save a good 3 mpg in the city and 7 on the highway compared to the one I have ordered! :laughabove:

That is awsum and I hope they are better than Avis about their rental fees and attitude. I haven't seen any SS at Avis here either.

Please keep the thread on topic and avoid the "why don't I have my car yet, but car rental agencies have tons" posts. I understand the frustration from waiting for your Camaros, but this is not the thread in which to complain. Thanks!

Checked all the Budgets in Vegas, none list them available online. I may have to call tomorrow to check if they have them in town and if so what the rates are.

Wow, as with the MPG listed on the Budget advertisement, I hope I'm not seeing things again. I've searched up and down the few posts here and can't find anyone complaining that they don't have their car yet. I myself am aware that the rental car agencies had early bids of sizeable alotments. More power to them and it actually is a great way to test drive the car before buying one, well, for a daily fee at least.

Anyway, I wonder what the prices are per day and per week that Budget is charging for these. If anyone finds out, please post.

Poor cars are going to get the s!*% beat out of them hope they keep up with the maintenance they'll hopefully be cheap when they sell them off :D

I need to fly to LAX sometime...

Stopped by the local Avis office on Saturday to ask about a Camaro rental. They told me they had been caught be surprise earlier in the week when they received notification to return their Camaros because they were only on a 3 month lease. I live 1 hour north of Denver and the local office was returning their Camaro to Denver Airport.

I wonder if the Avis Camaros have now been shifted to Budget, since they are one company.

not cool at all, rental car lots full of what should be in the garages of customers still waiting. :mad0259:
